I wanted to also create some additional designs and concept work for my Protagonist, to investigate different visual styles, additional details, alternate costumes, as well as just to help me gauge a better idea into this character's personality. I began with some digital paintings that border the line of stylised and realism. While this is generally good practice, I allowed me to see my character in alternate styles, to see if there should be any alterations in the character design. In one of the designs, I added glasses to see if this would add anything to the piece. While they are a good aesthetic look, they do not add much to the character, and in the story, the character will be involved with, they are not very practical, so they were ditched.

I wanted to write a character bio to help flesh out the character's backstory, ideal and small details that will help make the character human. Not only was this good fun, but it would also be useful for a portfolio, as well as the industry, as it gives people working with the character a greater understanding of them.

Taking my character sheet I just created I went on and created a keyframe of my character and her love of noodles. I did this to help add some life to the character, and get me excited to work on this character in the coming months.

Finally, I wanted to test my how my character would look in a "Super-suit". After all, the adult version of the character will appear in a dream sequence, meaning I can run wild with some concepts. While I really do love this piece, it doesn't tell us anything about this character, or how she sees herself and her ideals. So while I love this on an aesthetic level, I will not be adding it to the final animation.
